|Ingredients||small green Papaya
2 ripe italian type tomatoes
4 hot red chilies (Ki Nuu are the best)
juice of 4 limes
2 Tbls of small dried shrimps
1 bunch of coriander leaves
2 Tbls of Naam Pla (fish sauce)
2Tbls crushed roasted peanuts
|Instructions||Grate the green Papaya and place in large pestle (or deep bowl) with chopped chillies and chopped coriander.
Add lime juice and fish sauce.
bruise it a bit with a pestle or the end of a wooden rolling pin.
throw in the dried shrimp and peanuts and bruise it some more. It should be well mixed, but not mashed to a pulp.
Add Salt to taste and a little water if more liquid is required
|Notes||Served immediately, often with sticky rice (khao neaou) or as a side dish.
Dried shrimp can be replaced with fresh or even tinned shrimps, or crab.
